Open for Summer Private Group Bookings under "GROUPS" Team Builders, Birthday Gatherings, or any other Celebrations. Public Dates: Saturday, August 10th Join us for learning about how to PIT FIRE ceramics. In this workshop, you will be guided through the art of making a pit fire to solidify your ceramics pieces made in our studio or through our Clay Foraging Experience. *Must have made your pottery in our studio. You will learn: - How to know your pottery piece is ready to be fired. - How to identify the best wood to use for pit firing - Best way to start a fire. - How to honor and create a gratitude art installation for the resources used ( the clay and - When to add your ceramics pieces into the fire. - When to remove your ceramics pieces into the fire. - End with a closing circle where we all share what we learned. What to bring: You are welcome to bring a small offering of food, flower, fire, song, or anything else. There will be an opportunity to offer your gift at a community gratitude art installation we will carve out at the foraging location. Considerations: This activity requires moderate to advanced mobility and may not be accessible for all people. The hike down to the beach consists of sand and rock. Kid friendly. Cancellation Policy
Artillery Ceramics is a small community studio and we appreciate your patronage. All sales are final, we are unable to issue refunds. Rescheduling Policy: If you are unable to attend a booked class, please let us know as soon as you can. If we have a class that is not fully booked, we can transfer you into an available session for a $15 fee per seat. Classes are subject to change/be rescheduled if the minimum student quota of 4 students isn't met. Refunds: Due to our small class size, refunds are issued only if we are able to fill the seat. We cannot offer refunds if we are not able to fill the seat. Processing Fees: There will be a $15 fee for any changes made to your booking. Cancellation Policy: If you must cancel your session, we respectfully ask that you provide at least 24 hour notice. We understand that things come up, so please communicate any changes as soon as possible so we can coordinate with our team. We are unable to process refunds if you cannot attend your scheduled booking. Make-Up Glaze Session: If you miss a glaze session, you may book a glaze session through our website!
